Abstract Sunday

abstract Sunday

The lights at Starbucks, on a long exposure, while moving my camera from right to left at a downward thirty degree angle.

Hmm…weird.

Abstract Lighting

I looked up as I walked out of the hall below the Petronas Towers.  I saw this, above.  A lighting version of a lotus flower, perhaps, but it was fun to shoot.

What do you think?  Would this look nice in your living room?

Photo Friday: Vibrant

This photo is brought to you by the Kuala Lumpur International Airport…or their ceiling installations anyway.  These giant pinwheels light the hallways of the International Flights in the main terminal.

Late night cows…

Yep.  That’s what they are.

I know this is a little late, but I forgot to schedule it and I was out watching Junior A hockey.  My son won tickets to our local hockey team’s game tonight, so we went to watch them pull off a great win.  Way to go, Chiefs!

Anyway.  Here are some cows in some strange lighting.

Photo Friday…on a Sunday. Weird

Photo Friday’s challenge this week is “Inside“.  I scoured my old files to find the right photo for this one.  I don’t use my flash, so inside shots are not my specialty.  I prefer available light sources, so I look for the right ambience in the subjects that I shoot.  I love to shoot churches; not that they’re particularly well lit, most of them aren’t, but I can slow my shutter speed down and then lose the people attending in a blur.

Anyway, I hope you like this.  It’s a church in Quebec City.  Lovely old place, if my memory serves.

Paper Lantern

This lantern was hanging over my head as I ate some very good salmon rolls, smothered in wasabi, dipped in soy sauce, washed down with tea and ice water.  I suddenly want sushi.
