Pondok Indah Mall

Yup, another mall.  After the interesting notes I got about the last one, I figured I might as well shoot some photos of the next big mall I went to.  This is Pondok Indah Mall.  I think I may have seen about half of the mall…maybe a third.  This place is huge.  Jakarta knows how to build big when they build malls.

  1. Are those railroad tracks real? Hard to tell from looking at the photo.

    • Nope. They have these trains that haul families around the inside of the malls around here. It’s a guide for the “engineer”.

  2. Wow, it’s been two years since I went to that Mall.. I’m originally from Jakarta, but now living in Sweden and yeah, Jakarta do have big malls.. Have you been to Kelapa Gading Mall? I think it’s twice the size of PIM (Pondok Indah Mall).

    • I have not been there yet. So far, I’ve been to PIM, Pejaten Village, Gandaria City, and Pacific Place. I’ve heard Grand Indonesian is pretty impressive.

I hope my photos capture your city accurately. Thanks for checking out my blog.
