The reflection is black and white

I picked out a photo that I shot a while ago, but, given the black and white treatment, it takes on a timeless quality.

Well, that’s what I think.  What do you think?

    • In Abbotsford, BC, Canada. It’s called Mill Lake, named for the logging company that used to use this lake in their lumber production.

It’s actually kind of gross – certainly not a swimming-friendly lake – but it provides beautiful reflections.

what do you use to convert photos to black and white?

    • Um…I usually shoot everything in RAW and then change everything in Photoshop CS4. I often change the preview setting in the camera to B&W so that I can see what it’ll look like in b&w while shooting. That gives me a good idea of what I’m going for before it ever leaves the camera.
