Flying Cookies
I loved the attention to detail that is on exhibition at the Disney parks. My wife and son took a ride in a box of animal cookies, while I photographed them from a container of apple sauce. We were separated by a chinese takeout box.
I don’t know that I’ll ever write that sentence again.

Gosh, I love this, where is that carousel – in DL?

Actually, it’s in Cali Adventure, in “A Bug’s Land” – modeled after the movie “A Bug’s Life”. All of the area’s lights are fireflies, the restrooms are located in a huge kleenex box, and you feel like you’re a bug, or at least bug-sized. Very cool.

thank you! I have not been to Disneyland since 1983. Living here in Michigan now, we go to WDW every November.
This Bug’s Land sounds wonderful. Thanks for explaining…

I think this is my favorite post of yours (so far, of course). Great photo and writing. By the way, what age group do you teach? College?

Thanks.
I teach high school – Student Leadership, Writing, Psychology and English. I mostly teach 11th and 12th grades, but I also work quite closely with the culture of the 9th grade students in my school.
Are you enjoying your break?

Ah, high school. I taught high school also, all boys, mostly upperclassmen. It was an experience (usually a positive one). My blog break was lovely, thank you. I’ve felt like writing the past few days, so I have, but I’ve decided to write when I feel inspired and not make blog writing a “must do” on my daily list. I really love your blog…always a little breath of fresh air.
